History in the Making – The FLAV421 Collection

The Original Dampkring Gallery is proud to present one of the most remarkable private collections of smoking glass in the world today. History In The Making is an exclusive public exhibition of the private collection of David and Erin Podersky-Cannon. David is also known as FLAV421.

The Original Dampkring Gallery is showcasing highlights of iconic glassworks collected by FLAV421. With early examples from Marcel Braun, Joe Peters, John Dosa, Brandon Martin, Banjo, Buck, Scott Deppe and other notable glass artists of the past 20 years, FLAV421’s collection from Canada is an extraordinary chronicle of the borosilicate glass pipe movement from its inception to current forms today. This will be one of the first times that a collection of its kind can be seen in Europe.

FLAV421 has been a supporter of the boro glass movement since its earliest days. He lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and continues to collect new and historically significant work. Select items from the FLAV421 collection will be available for sale during the exhibition.
Opening on Monday 24th of November at 12:00
FLAV421 will be present in Amsterdam during the week of November 24th 2014 to discuss glass collecting.
